Progesterone

Mechanism of the Effect
Progesterone crosses the cytoplasmic membrane and binds to specific receptors, entering the cell nucleus chromatin (DNA), leading to the synthesis of messenger RNA (mRNA) and ultimately the formation of new proteins and enzymes.

Use case

The amount and how to use
Cattle: 100–125 mg daily
Mare: 100–150 mg daily
Sheep: 10–15 mg daily
Dog: 5–10 mg daily
Cat: 2–5 mg daily
This medication should be administered deep intramuscularly using a completely dry needle, and according to the veterinarian’s instructions.

Caution
Use only under veterinary supervision and prescription.
Avoid use in animals with liver diseases or sensitivity to hormones.
During pregnancy, use only in special cases and with caution.
Do not inject into infected or inflamed sites.
In case of allergic reactions or side effects, discontinue use and monitor the animal.
Keep the medication out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.
Avoid concurrent use with other hormonal drugs without veterinary consultation.

Drug interference
Concurrent use with other hormonal drugs such as estrogens or gonadotropins may alter the effect of progesterone.
Anticoagulant drugs can interact with progesterone and increase the risk of bleeding.
Corticosteroids may reduce the effects of progesterone.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should be used with caution if taken concurrently.
Antibiotics may alter the metabolism of progesterone.
Always consult a veterinarian before using any medication concurrently with Vutagesterone.
