Compounds

Each liter of Syvaquinol 10% solution contains 100 grams of enrofloxacin.

Mechanism of the Effect

Syvaquinol is an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone class. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which prevents bacterial DNA replication and repair. This leads to halted bacterial growth and ultimately causes bacterial cell death (bactericidal effect).

The drug is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and is used in the treatment of bacterial infections in livestock.

Use case

Treatment of bacterial respiratory tract infections in livestock

Treatment of bacterial skin and soft tissue infections

Treatment of urinary tract infections

Treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by sensitive bacteria

Use in infectious diseases caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria

The medication should always be administered under veterinary supervision and according to the specified dose and treatment duration.

The amount and how to use

Administer 1 mL of Syvaquinol 10% per 10 kg of live body weight, diluted in drinking water and provided to poultry for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

The recommended dosage can also be achieved by dissolving 0.5 mL of Syvaquinol 10% in 1000 liters of drinking water.

For the treatment of salmonellosis and severe infections, the dosage may be doubled as needed.

It is essential that fresh solution is prepared daily and made available to birds throughout the treatment period.

Caution

Use with caution in young, pregnant, or lactating animals

Avoid concurrent use with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) due to increased risk of seizures

In animals with renal or hepatic insufficiency, dose should be adjusted accordingly

Prolonged use may lead to bacterial resistance

Drug interference

Concurrent use of Syvaquinol 10% with macrolides and tetracyclines should be avoided.

Co-administration with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is contraindicated.
