Each kilogram of the product contains 500 grams of pure oxytetracycline.
Mechanism of the Effect
Oxytetracycline inhibits the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA (aa-tRNA) to the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing protein synthesis in bacteria.
It also reduces the conversion of glutamate into cellular proteins.
In general, tetracyclines are bacteriostatic, but at high concentrations, they may exhibit bactericidal effects.
Use case
Oxytetracycline 50% Premix – Royan is used for the treatment of the following diseases:
CRD and CRD Complex
Sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infections
Gastrointestinal infections and diarrhea of unknown origin
Fowl cholera, blue comb disease, and hexamitiasis
The amount and how to use
200 to 500 grams per ton of feed, or as prescribed by a veterinarian.
Caution
Concurrent use of oxytetracyclines with quinolones, penicillins, streptomycin, bacitracin, neomycin, or sodium bicarbonate is not recommended due to antagonistic effects.
During the treatment period, avoid using compounds containing metal cations such as iron, calcium, and magnesium, as they can form inactive complexes.
Do not administer to laying poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Drug interference
Do not use oxytetracycline simultaneously with quinolones, polymyxin B, penicillins, streptomycin, bacitracin, neomycin, or sodium bicarbonate due to potential antagonistic effects.
Avoid combining oxytetracycline with metal cation-containing compounds (e.g., iron, calcium, magnesium) to prevent complex formation.
Maintenance conditions
Store in a dry place at a temperature below 30°C, away from direct sunlight.
