Each milliliter of Mucufree® oral solution contains 128 mg of pure Guaifenesin.
Mechanism of the Effect
The expectorant effect of Guaifenesin is achieved by increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of tracheal and bronchial secretions (mucolytic action). Guaifenesin can increase coughing and facilitate the expulsion of phlegm.
Pharmacokinetics
Mucufree® is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted as inactive metabolites via the kidneys.
Use case
Mucufree® is used as an expectorant for the treatment of cough caused by respiratory tract congestion and respiratory tract infections.
The amount and how to use
For poultry, use 100 ml of the medication per 1000 kg of live body weight (for 3 to 5 days) in the birds’ drinking water. This translates to approximately 0.5 liters per 1000 liters of drinking water, administered continuously.
Caution
Keep out of reach of children.
