Packaging

1000-, 2500-, and 5000-dose vials

Compounds

Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) Strain (rNDV:VG/GA – F7) ≥ 6.5 log10 EID50

Mechanism of the Effect

After administration, the attenuated viruses undergo limited replication in the poultry’s respiratory tract, stimulating the immune system.

This stimulation leads to the production of antibodies and a cellular immune response, which protects the bird against actual infections from Rhinotracheitis and Bronchitis viruses.

Use case

For the vaccination and protection of chickens and turkeys against Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) Genotype II and Genotype VII.

The amount and how to use

The vaccine can be administered via eye drop, spray, or drinking water.

Spray Administration

Vaccine dilution and dosage vary depending on farm and environmental conditions. The vaccine can be used at volumes of 0.2-0.3 liters per 1000 birds at one day old in hatchery boxes, or 0.5 liters per 1000 birds on the farm. Vaccination should be performed during the coolest part of the day. Heaters and ventilation systems must be turned off, and birds should be gathered into the smallest possible area or inside boxes for spraying, maintaining a distance of about 30 cm from the spray nozzle. Heaters and ventilation systems can be turned back on after 15-20 minutes.

Drinking Water Administration

The water used for vaccination must be free of chemicals that can inactivate the virus and reduce its efficacy. Therefore, the use of disinfectants or chlorination of the water should be stopped for at least 24 hours. Waterers and water lines must be thoroughly cleaned both before and after vaccination. The water supply line should be shut off for approximately 1.5 to 3 hours before vaccination begins. The required amount of vaccine should be prepared according to the volume of water birds will consume within 2 hours, considering the season and location.

Using 2.5 grams of skim milk or 15 milligrams of sodium thiosulfate per liter of water is suitable for neutralizing the effect of chlorine.

Caution

Only healthy birds should be vaccinated.

Each vial must be used immediately after opening.

Vaccination should be performed during the coolest time of the day.

Any remaining vaccine must be disposed of according to regional regulations.

Drug interference

Concurrent use with immunosuppressive drugs (e.g., corticosteroids) may reduce the vaccine’s immune response.

Simultaneous administration with antibiotics or antiviral medications may decrease the vaccine’s effectiveness.

Concurrent use with other live vaccines should only be done with precise planning and veterinarian consultation.

Disinfectants in water or vaccination equipment can inactivate the vaccine virus.

Maintenance conditions

Store at 2-8 degrees Celsius and avoid freezing.

Protect from direct light.
