Compounds

This solution contains propylene glycol, glucose, and calcium.

Mechanism of the Effect

This solution contains propylene glycol, glucose, and calcium.

During late pregnancy and after calving, the energy and calcium demand in livestock exceeds the supply from the diet. Therefore, supplementation with an easily accessible source of energy and calcium is essential.

This solution is used in cows that are very thin, very fat, calcium-deficient, have experienced dystocia (difficult calving), retained placenta, or suffer from chronic diseases. It offers the following benefits:

Improves liver function and helps prevent ketosis and milk fever.

Enhances reproductive performance, supports better follicular growth in the ovaries, and leads to quicker return to estrous cycles.

Reduces the duration of anestrus after calving.

Indirectly increases milk production, reduces total microbial count in milk, and lowers the incidence of mastitis.

Use case

Treatment of milk fever (hypocalcemia) in freshly calved cows

Support for weak or exhausted animals after calving or severe stress

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

Improvement of muscular and nervous function in weak animals

In some cases, used as supportive therapy in poisonings or ketosis

The amount and how to use

One liter per animal per day should be administered orally, starting two days before the expected calving date, continuing on the day of calving, and up to one week after calving.

Caution

When administering oral Gluca to animals, avoid overdosage to prevent the risk of hypercalcemia and digestive disorders. In pregnant, lactating, or animals with kidney problems, use only under the supervision of a veterinarian.

Drug interference

Oral Gluca may reduce the absorption of medications such as tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones.

Additionally, concurrent use with phosphorus- or magnesium-containing supplements without veterinary supervision may cause disturbances in electrolyte balance.

Maintenance conditions

Oral Gluca for livestock should be stored in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid freezing and temperatures above 25°C. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
