Packaging

1000-, 2500-, and 5000-dose vials

Compounds

Vaccine Virus: Live attenuated Gumboro (IBDV) strain 2512 (Intermediate Plus) with a minimum of 100 EID₅₀ per dose.

Specific Antibody: Minimum of 24 units of anti-Gumboro virus antibody per dose.

Preservative Antibiotic: Gentamicin to prevent microbial contamination.

Stabilizer: Stabilizing compounds to maintain vaccine stability.

Mechanism of the Effect

The vaccine contains a live, attenuated Gumboro virus (IBDV), which is administered to poultry via injection.

The attenuated virus undergoes limited replication in the bursa of Fabricius (a key immune organ in poultry), stimulating the immune system.

This stimulation leads to the production of specific antibodies and a cellular immune response, which protects the poultry against actual Gumboro virus infection.

Use case

Control and prevention of Gumboro disease.

The amount and how to use

A single dose per bird, administered via drinking water or eye drop.

Caution

Administer only to healthy poultry showing no signs of disease.

The vaccine must be stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and protected from freezing.

Once opened, the vaccine must be used immediately, and any remainder should be discarded.

Avoid concurrent administration with immunosuppressive drugs.

Injection equipment must be sterile and hygienic.

Protect the vaccine from direct light and heat.

Keep the vaccine out of reach of children and unauthorized individuals.

Drug interference

Concurrent use with immunosuppressive drugs (e.g., corticosteroids) may reduce the immune response to the vaccine.

Simultaneous administration with antibiotics or antiviral medications can decrease the vaccine’s effectiveness.

Concurrent use with other live vaccines should only be done with precise planning and veterinarian consultation.

Disinfectants in water or injection equipment might inactivate the vaccine virus.

Maintenance conditions

Store between 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.
