Mechanism of the Effect
Sulfacquinoxaline belongs to the sulfonamide group and works by interfering with folic acid synthesis, thereby disrupting metabolism and inhibiting protein synthesis. Diaveridine is classified as a dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) inhibitor.
The combined use of sulfacquinoxaline and diaveridine enhances the antimicrobial and antiprotozoal spectrum of sulfacquinoxaline.
Sulfacquinoxaline is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, leading to a gradual increase in serum concentration. Its blood levels remain effective for an adequate period. The drug is excreted through both urine and feces.

Use case
This medication is generally used in poultry, turkeys, cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats.
Both sulfacquinoxaline and diaveridine individually exhibit efficacy against various causative agents of coccidiosis. When used in combination, these two drugs potentiate each other’s therapeutic effects. Overall, this product is recommended for use in the following cases:
– Treatment of bloody diarrhea in poultry caused by coccidial agents
– Cecal coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella
– Intestinal coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria maxima, and Eimeria necatrix
– Control of poultry cholera mortality caused by Pasteurella multocida and reduction of fowl typhoid incidence caused by Salmonella gallinarum in turkeys
– Control and treatment of coccidiosis in cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats

The amount and how to use
Add 30 ml of the solution to every 10 liters of drinking water (or 250 ml to 83 liters of water) and provide it to poultry for 3 consecutive days. Discontinue treatment for 2 days, then repeat for another 3 days
(3 days treatment – 2 days break – 3 days treatment).
In some cases of intestinal coccidiosis, a third treatment cycle may be required
(3 days treatment – 2 days break – 3 days treatment – 2 days break – 3 days treatment).
For prevention of coccidiosis in cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats, administer 5 ml of the solution per 10 kg of body weight, diluted in drinking water, for 3 consecutive days.

Caution
Keep out of reach of children.
