Digestive Health and Nutrient Absorption
The essential oils in this product can improve digestive tract function by increasing bile secretions. This typically leads to a reduction in intestinal gas, indigestion, and diarrhea, which in turn enhances appetite and nutrient absorption. Oral propylene glycol is also readily absorbed and metabolized, converting into oxaloacetate or glucose, making it a preferred choice over glucose for oral administration as it avoids rumen fermentation that could worsen ketosis.
Antimicrobial and Immune-Boosting Properties
Studies show that oregano essential oils have antibacterial effects against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and they can reduce viral and fungal contamination. This ultimately helps in decreasing infectious diseases within animal flocks.
Additionally, thyme and oregano oils increase appetite in birds by reducing the stimulation of the stress center in the hypothalamus. In healthy birds, this leads to improved growth, weight gain, and accelerated development of various organs, especially immune system cells, further reducing infectious diseases. For sick birds, increased feed intake facilitates faster recovery from infectious diseases.
Antioxidant Benefits
A significant advantage of thymol and carvacrol is their antioxidant properties. As chemical antioxidants like BHT and BHA face restrictions in many countries due to their carcinogenic effects, natural plant-based antioxidants are becoming suitable alternatives. Carvacrol and thymol, with their strong antioxidant capabilities, prevent the destructive effects of free radicals. By inhibiting these radicals, they not only prevent the oxidation of unsaturated fat sources in feed but also preserve vitamins A, E, and D3.
Furthermore, compounds in this product strengthen the immune system and prevent the damaging effects of inflammatory mediators like nitric oxide. The oregano extract in the product also contains Vitamin C, which contributes to boosting the immune system and other benefits associated with this vitamin.

To counteract reduced feed intake and weight lag in broiler and layer flocks.
For prevention and control of intestinal inflammation caused by bacterial and even protozoal infections, especially coccidiosis, and to reduce associated complications like undigested feed excretion.

The amount and how to use
The recommended dosage for Ergovit is 100 to 150 ml per 1000 liters of drinking water, to be administered for 5 to 6 days, for 8 to 12 hours daily.

Drug interference
With Antibiotics: May reduce or enhance the effects of some antibiotics, especially tetracyclines; it’s best to administer with a time interval.
With Supplements Containing Vitamins or Other Herbal Extracts: Concurrent use could lead to an excessive increase in certain compounds and result in adverse effects.
With Liver or Gastrointestinal Medications: May alter their function, particularly if they contain similar herbal compounds.
With Antifungal or Antiviral Medications: Potential for interaction exists, and these should be used with caution.
