1000-dose vial

Compounds
Each dose contains a minimum of 3.1 Log10 TCID50 of Reovirus S1133.

Mechanism of the Effect
The vaccine contains a live, attenuated Reovirus.
After injection or administration, the virus undergoes limited replication within the animal or poultry, thereby stimulating the immune system.
This stimulation leads to the production of antibodies and immune memory cells.
When exposed to the actual virus, the immune system reacts quickly, preventing the onset of disease.

Use case
Active immunization of chickens against Tenosynovitis (Viral Arthritis) in poultry.

The amount and how to use
The vaccine dosage is 0.2 ml per chick.
The prepared vaccine solution should be administered subcutaneously in the back of the neck.

Caution
The vaccine should only be used in healthy animals or poultry showing no signs of disease.
Avoid storing the vaccine at unsuitable temperatures (above 8 degrees Celsius or below freezing).
The vaccine must be kept in its original, closed container and away from direct light.
Once opened, the vaccine must be used quickly, and any remainder should be discarded.
Avoid concurrent use with immunosuppressive drugs during vaccination.
Strict hygiene for equipment and administration with sterile syringes are mandatory.
Keep the vaccine out of reach of children.

Drug interference
Concurrent use with immunosuppressive drugs (like corticosteroids) may reduce the immune response to the vaccine.
Simultaneous administration with antibiotics or antiviral medications can decrease the vaccine’s effectiveness.
Concurrent use with other live vaccines should only be done with a veterinarian’s recommendation and appropriate timing.
Disinfectants in water or vaccination equipment might inactivate the vaccine virus.

Maintenance conditions
Store at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (refrigerator temperature).
Prevent the vaccine from freezing, as this may inactivate the live virus.
Keep in its original, closed container and open only when ready to use.
Avoid exposure to direct light and heat.
Once opened, use within a short period, and discard any remainder.
Keep out of reach of children and non-target animals.
