Mechanism of the Effect
Enrofloxacin is a bactericidal antibiotic belonging to the third generation of the quinolone family. This antibiotic inhibits the function of the enzyme DNA gyrase.
Following oral administration, therapeutic concentrations are rapidly achieved in tissues. Its maximum plasma concentration is reached within 0.5 to 2.5 hours. The plasma half-life is approximately 2 to 6 hours. Enrofloxacin is eliminated through both renal and biliary routes.

Use case
Quimiocoli is used for the treatment of CRD complex, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urinary tract infections, as well as infectious diseases caused by the following pathogens:
– Mycoplasma
– Gram-negative bacteria: E. coli, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Bartonella, Enterococcus, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae
– Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus and Streptococcus

The amount and how to use
For use in drinking water:
Administer 0.5 milliliters of Quimiocoli per liter of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.
In cases of salmonella infections, the dosage may be doubled.

Caution
At the recommended doses, no toxicity is expected.
Drugs and supplements containing magnesium and aluminum may reduce the absorption of enrofloxacin due to chelation.
Keep out of reach of children.

Drug interference
Quimiocoli interacts with sulfonamides, trimethoprim, macrolides, tetracyclines, nitrofurans, and chloramphenicol.
It should not be used concurrently with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Maintenance conditions
Store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.
