Each kilogram of lincomycin premix contains 8.8 grams of lincomycin (as hydrochloride salt).
Mechanism of the Effect
Lincomycin binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, preventing the formation of peptide bonds during the elongation phase of protein chain synthesis. This action inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria, ultimately leading to the cessation of growth or bacterial death.
The effect of lincomycin is mainly bacteriostatic, but at high doses or against susceptible bacteria, it can also be bactericidal. This drug is particularly effective against Gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasmas.
Use case
Lincomix 8.8 is used to control necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens, to promote growth and improve feed conversion ratio in broiler chickens, and to control CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease).
The amount and how to use
Lincomix 8.8 is used for necrotic enteritis, control of CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease), improvement of growth rate, and enhancement of feed conversion ratio at a dosage of 500 grams per ton of feed, from the first week of broiler rearing until the end of the production cycle.
Caution
During transportation and use of the drug, wear a mask, protective clothing, and gloves. After handling and applying the lincomycin premix, wash hands and face thoroughly with water.
Keep the medication out of reach of children.
Administration of lincomycin in horses, ruminants, rabbits, and guinea pigs may cause severe gastrointestinal disturbances.
Lincomycin does not have a negative effect on intestinal flora.
Drug interference
Concurrent use with erythromycin, tylosin, and novobiocin is not recommended.
Lincomix 8.8 is compatible with all coccidiostats and growth promoters.
Maintenance conditions
Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, and at a temperature below 25°C.
