Compounds
Each kilogram of Doxyforte Rooyan® contains 500 grams of doxycycline (hyklate).
Mechanism of the Effect
Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group.
This antibiotic is broad-spectrum and bacteriostatic.
It has antimicrobial activity against species of Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Bordetella, Haemophilus paragallinarum, Pasteurella multocida, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale, and Escherichia coli.
Use case
Doxyforte Rooyan® is recommended for the treatment of:
Colibacillosis caused by Escherichia coli
Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum
Polyarthritis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae in poultry
Fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida
Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium
Salmonellosis
Streptococcal and staphylococcal infections
Ornithosis and chlamydiosis
The amount and how to use
40 mg per kg of live body weight, or 200–400 grams per 1000 liters of drinking water, for 4 to 7 days.
Note:
The medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
According to the veterinarian’s advice, doxycycline can be used synergistically with drugs such as tylosin, colistins, sulfonamides, and others.
Caution
Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation.
Avoid simultaneous use with drugs containing mineral metals such as calcium, iron, and magnesium, which reduce drug absorption.
The dosage and duration of treatment should be followed as prescribed by the veterinarian to prevent bacterial resistance.
Do not use the drug in animals sensitive to tetracyclines.
Store the drug in a dry, cool place away from direct light.
Drug interference
Doxyforte Rooyan® should not be used simultaneously with florfenicol and products containing cations.
Maintenance conditions
Store in a dry place, at a temperature below 30°C, and away from direct light.
