Each milliliter of Tilmosin Rooyan® oral solution contains 0.25 grams of tilmicosin (phosphate)

subunit of the bacterial ribosome. This action prevents bacterial growth and ultimately leads to bacterial cell death. The drug is effective against Mycoplasma gallisepticum (Mg), Mycoplasma synoviae (Ms), Pasteurella multocida, and Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale.

Tilmosin Rooyan® actively targets and eliminates infections. Six hours after administration via drinking water in poultry, therapeutic concentrations of the drug are reached in target tissues such as the lungs and air sacs. In addition to accumulating in target tissues, tilmicosin also concentrates significantly in phagocytic cells, which can transport the active ingredient to infected tissues. Furthermore, Tilmosin Rooyan® remains in these tissues for a longer duration compared to other macrolides.

It is used in the treatment of respiratory infections in poultry caused by Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella multocida, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale, and various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Tilmosin Rooyan® is considered one of the most effective drugs against Mycoplasma infections. It dissolves easily in water and does not cause issues such as pipe clogging, poor solubility, or incompatibility with minerals present in the water.

This product is compatible with all medications, coccidiostats, and can be used under all environmental conditions such as varying pH levels, mineral content, salinity, etc. The drug is highly stable: it retains its efficacy for up to 3 months after the bottle is opened, and up to 4 days once mixed into the drinking water. In practice, treatment can be carried out by adding one 60 ml bottle to 200 liters of drinking water, which is equivalent to 75 mg per liter.

For precise dosage based on body weight, the following formula can be used:

20 mg of the drug per kilogram of body weight per day

It is recommended to add the required dose to the drinking water daily and ensure it is consumed within the same day.

Avoid direct contact with the skin. Gloves must be worn when handling or diluting the product.

Keep out of reach of children.

The veterinary drug Tilmicosin 240 mg has severe interactions with ionophores (such as monensin, salinomycin, and narasin), which may lead to cardiotoxicity and animal death.

Caution is also advised when used concurrently with cardiac medications or other macrolide antibiotics.
