Packaging
60 ml bottle

Compounds
Each 1 ml contains: 250 mg tilmicosin phosphate (equivalent to 25% w/v)

Mechanism of the Effect
Tilmosin Rooyan® is a macrolide antibiotic that acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. This disruption halts bacterial growth and leads to cell death, making it effective against:
Mycoplasma gallisepticum (Mg)
Mycoplasma synoviae (Ms)
Pasteurella multocida
Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
Targeted Action and Tissue Distribution
Within 6 hours of administration via drinking water, therapeutic concentrations are achieved in target tissues such as the lungs and air sacs.
The drug exhibits tissue tropism, accumulating not only in respiratory tissues but also in phagocytic cells (macrophages), which can transport the active compound directly to infection sites.
Compared to other macrolides, Tilmosin Rooyan® remains longer in these tissues, enhancing its duration of action and reducing the need for frequent dosing.

Use case
Tilmosin Rooyan® is used in poultry for the treatment of respiratory infections caused by:
Mycoplasma gallisepticum (Mg)
Mycoplasma synoviae (Ms)
Pasteurella multocida
Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
And various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Formulation Advantages
Highly water-soluble: Dissolves easily in drinking water
No pipe blockage or solubility issues
Compatible with salts, coccidiostats, and other medications
Stable under all environmental conditions, including variations in pH, salinity, and mineral content
Stability and Safety
Shelf life after opening: Maintains efficacy for up to 3 months
In drinking water: Remains stable and effective for up to 4 days
High safety margin: No adverse effects observed when administered at 5× the therapeutic dose for 5 consecutive days in broilers
This makes Tilmosin Rooyan® one of the most reliable and user-friendly macrolide antibiotics for poultry respiratory disease management

The amount and how to use
Field Application: One 60 ml bottle is sufficient to medicate 200 liters of drinking water, achieving a concentration of 75 mg/L.
Precise Dosage (based on body weight): 20 mg of tilmicosin per kg body weight per day
Administration Advice: It is recommended to prepare fresh medicated water daily and administer it continuously throughout the day.

Caution
Avoid direct contact with skin.
Wear protective gloves when handling or diluting the product.
For veterinary use only – strictly for oral administration.
Prevent access by horses and other equids to drinking water containing Tilmosin Rooyan®, as macrolides can be fatal to equines.
Keep out of reach of children.

Drug interference
Do Not Co-administer With Ionophores:
Monensin, Salinomycin, Narasin Concurrent use with tilmicosin can lead to severe cardiotoxicity and even sudden death, especially in poultry and ruminants. These ionophores disrupt ion gradients in cardiac muscle, and tilmicosin’s own negative inotropic effect may exacerbate this risk.
⚠️ Use With Caution:
Other macrolides or lincosamides (e.g., erythromycin, lincomycin) May result in competitive binding at the ribosomal site, leading to antagonism or additive toxicity.
Cardiac rhythm modulators (e.g., antiarrhythmic drugs) Tilmicosin may inhibit myocardial contractility, so co-administration with drugs affecting cardiac conduction should be approached with extreme caution.

Maintenance conditions
Store at 10°C to 25°C
Protect from light
