Mechanism of the Effect
Spiramycin is a macrolide antibiotic classified as a bacteriostatic agent.
Spira Plus® inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, preventing bacterial growth and reproduction.
Its effective spectrum includes:
Gram-positive bacteria:
Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.
Gram-negative bacteria and others:
Haemophilus spp., Rickettsia spp., Mycoplasma spp.

Use case
Spiramycin is used in poultry and turkeys to control and treat diseases caused by the mentioned microorganisms, particularly mycoplasmosis, infectious sinusitis, coryza, necrotic enteritis, fowl cholera, and infectious synovitis.

The amount and how to use
Instructions for the use of spiramycin in poultry:
General Dosage:
380 grams of active spiramycin per 1000 liters of drinking water (equivalent to 800 grams of the product per 1000 liters of drinking water).
Turkeys:
From one day of age for 5 days.
Broiler chickens:
From one day of age for 3 days.
Repeat treatment at weeks 4 and 5.
Replacement pullets:
From one day of age for 3 days.
Repeat treatment at weeks 9 and 16.
Treatment of CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease):
Turkeys:
Treatment for 3 days.
Poultry:
Treatment for 3 days.
After vaccination, for 1 to 2 days.
Note: Ensure that drinking water containing the medication is uniformly accessible to the birds and that the dosage is followed as instructed.

Caution
Safety Precautions for Mixing and Using Spiramycin in Water:
Wear protective clothing, gloves, and a dust mask during mixing and application, as the drug may cause severe eye irritation and sensitivity.
In case of accidental contact with eyes, immediately rinse the affected area thoroughly with plenty of water.
Strictly avoid contact with skin.
After use, securely close the bag.
Note: Follow these precautions to ensure safe handling of the medication.

Drug interference
Drug Warning for Spira Plus®:
Do not use Spira Plus® concurrently with macrolides.
Note: Avoid administering Spira Plus® alongside other macrolides to prevent drug interactions.

Storage Instructions for Spira Plus®:
Store in a dry place, below 25°C, and away from direct light.
Keep out of reach of children.
