Compounds
Fenbendazole 2.5% – Each milliliter of suspension contains 25 mg of fenbendazole.

Mechanism of the Effect
Internal parasites primarily use anaerobic metabolic systems, where the enzymes fumarate reductase and succinate dehydrogenase play a key role in ATP synthesis and energy production.
Fenbendazole inhibits the function of these enzymes, leading to a halt in ATP production, which results in muscular paralysis and ultimately the death of the parasite.

Use case
Fenbendazole 2.5% is effective against larval (both active and dormant) and adult gastrointestinal nematodes in sheep and goats, adult lungworms, adult gastrointestinal cestodes in ruminants, as well as adult nematodes and cestodes in equines and carnivores.
Like other benzimidazoles, it also has ovicidal effects.
Effective against the following parasites:
Ruminants: Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Bunostomum, Cooperia, Neoascaris, Oesophagostomum, Chabertia, Trichuris, and adult cestodes.
Equines: Large and small strongyles, Ascaris, Oxyuris, and Strongyloides.
Dogs and Cats: Ascaris, Ancylostoma, Trichuris, and cestodes.

The amount and how to use
Fenbendazole 2.5% should be administered orally using a drenching gun. Shake the suspension bottle well before use.
Recommended dosages for different animals:
Sheep and Goats: 5–10 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight (1–2 ml per 5 kg body weight). For cestode infections, 10 mg/kg is recommended.
Cattle: 7.5 mg/kg body weight (3 ml per 10 kg body weight).
For respiratory tract infections (Dictyocaulus arnfieldi), 10 mg/kg for 5 consecutive days is effective.
Equines: 7.5 mg/kg body weight (3 ml per 10 kg) for gastrointestinal infections; 10 mg/kg (4 ml per 10 kg) for 5 consecutive days for respiratory infections.
Dogs and Cats: 50 mg/kg body weight (2 ml per kg body weight) is recommended.

Caution
Avoid freezing the suspension.
In the case of reinfection from contaminated environments, repeat treatment is necessary.
Can be safely administered to animals at various stages of pregnancy and with poor nutritional status.
