Each gram of Rotet 100 oral powder contains 1000 mg of oxytetracycline hydrochloride.
Mechanism of the Effect
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis in microorganisms by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, halting bacterial growth (it is a bacteriostatic antibiotic).
Rotet 100 is effective against gram-negative bacteria, including various species of Pasteurella, Salmonella, and E. coli, as well as gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Clostridium species.
It also acts on other microorganisms, including Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, and certain protozoa.
Use case
Control and treatment of furunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida, as well as various species of Yersinia, Vibrio, and Mixobacter in salmonids and trout.
The amount and how to use
Rotet 100 is administered orally at a dose of 75 mg per kg of fish body weight daily for 4 consecutive days.
After the initial treatment, mortality rates should be assessed, and if necessary, the medication should be continued for an additional 4 days.

During the medication period, fish should not be used for human consumption.
